good pitstop en route to sport district. plus there's fresh milk. pretty much exclusively in neighborhood. these folk clearly care about presentation, but also handle basics. mind sweetness levels though. fish curry is particularly good, with asam kicking hardest in team effort. regulation dhal with sambal is also up there. former is substantive and comforting, while latter packs spicy tasty kick. ayam bawang is excellent. ditto perut. fried chicken notch below at ok. can also vouch for roti, tosai and puri. sup tulang is superlative. stereo heat from pepper, and (surprisingly) ginger. ox is tasty, but chewy, especially off tail. veg within rounds off bowl of solid heart and soul. also worth checking out: grilled chicken, with inverse-scale pricing. enables cryptid fantasy of four-legged fowl.

This is another one of these same mamaks, but it does have its own distinctive features. Graphically, the menu has a more 'unique' style of presenting their menu. Of course the proof here is that the nasi lemak sambal sotong– which showed the squid cooked alongside the sambal– is actually in fact just fried squid and a separate bowl of sambal. Not complaining about the taste but the menu certainly is misleading for this one dish.
